Global report 2025 on FGM: now available in Arabic!
A month ago, we were excited to announce the release of the Italian version of our Global Report "The time is now: End FGM/C: An Urgent Need for a Global Response". Today, we are proud to share that the Arabic translation has now been added.
Earlier this year, together with our partners from Equality Now and the U.S End FGM/C Network, we released a 2025 updated version of our Global Report which provides a comprehensive overview of the current global situation of female genital mutilation (FGM), highlighting both progress made and persistent challenges.
It centralises the latest global data and trends on FGM, while also bringing forward the voices and lived experiences of survivors. It combines evidence and personal testimonies to illustrate the urgency of coordinated global action, and it puts forward clear and actionable recommendations for policymakers, institutions, civil society organisations, donors, and other key stakeholders at global, regional, and national levels.

At first only available in English and French, the Italian version has been recently added, and today the Arabic translation of the report is now available. This marks an important step in strengthening the accessibility and reach of the report. The availability of the Arabic translation is significant in ensuring wider dissemination and meaningful use of the report. Arabic is an official language in many countries where FGM prevalence remains high. Making this content accessible supports advocacy, policy development, and community based efforts led by local actors.
This translation aims to facilitate dialogue, strengthen partnerships, and contribute to informed and survivor centred responses to end FGM globally.
